Y6 Art – scaling up

Year 6 have been looking at how street artists and muralists recreate their designs by scaling up. We then looked at how to use gridding up to transfer a small picture onto a larger grid so that we could maintain the proportions of our images. The children did a wonderful job of drawing leaves, robins, trees and blue whales. They then explored how to create their own grids to make the pictures even larger.
