Y2 Ferris Wheels

Year 2 have been busy engineers in DT, designing and building their very own Ferris wheels! 🎡

From the very start, the children took on the challenge of choosing the best materials and creating strong, stable frames to hold their spinning wheels and carriages. There was lots of thinking, testing and even a few wobbles along the way!

Halfway through, the children became real designers, evaluating their work and making clever changes to improve their prototypes and make sure they met the design brief. Their perseverance and creativity really shone through.

The final results are fantastic! Each Ferris wheel includes a working mechanism to make it move, and the children were so excited to see their ideas come to life.

What a brilliant job, Year 2! You should be very proud of your amazing creations!
