Year 4 Sketchbooks

Year 4 have worked incredibly artistically in their sketchbooks on investigating tints and shades. They added black to make shades of colours and white to make tints. They used these colour mixing skills to paint a 3D object using squares. After learning painting techniques such as dabbing, colour washes and pointilism, they brought their skills together to paint 3D apples. For their final pieces, they have photographed objects that represent them. They will paint their still life art pieces next week to finish their painting project.
