Year 4 had Victorian day, this week. We were visited by school master Mr Wright who was very strict with the children and some even found themselves in a dunce's hat in the corner! The children enjoyed an 'archaeological dig' and looking at objects from the Victorian period, as well as some from World War 2. We had to think like a historian to work out what they could be. The children also had to do their three 'Rs' as well as learn about drill practice, Victorian toys, social reform and smelly habits!
