Y4 Science

Year 4 have been investigating how different drinks affect our teeth. They placed some eggs in liquids such as cola, vinegar, water and tea and also covered one of the eggs in toothpaste to see if it offered extra protection. The children were really amazed at how the vinegar caused the most changes after three days. The egg become soft like a bouncy ball and the shell had started to wear away. They could even see the yoke inside through the thinner parts of the egg. Afterwards, they wrote up their observations.
