Investigating Sound in Year 4

Year 4 have been investigating how sound travels by invisible vibrations.  They tested this out by making string telephones that had strings with different lengths. The shorter the string, the louder the sound! They found they had to make sure to pull the string tight and hold the cup tight around their ears otherwise the sound leaked out in the air.
