Inventing animation

Following on from a Computing lesson, where the children explored tools to create images and then used 2Animate to explore simple animation, the children researched the history of animation. They discovered that Joseph Plateau invented the "phenakistiscope", the first device to give the illusion of a moving image. The children explored ways to make the illusion of moving pictures.
