Our Harvest Festival Church Service took place on Friday 8th October at St James'Church. The children learned about the Harvest today and in the past. The children shared songs and prayers giving thanks for our food. The children recognise the importance of sharing what we have and this year they celebrated Harvest by collecting food for our community Food Bank. Each class made donations including toothpaste and tooth brushes, long life milk or fruit juice, custard, tinned fish or meats and treats such as sweets, chocolate bars and coffee. The Food bank outlined a range of items that they really needed to support families in our community who are struggling to feed and care for their children at this time.
