The children in Pearl Class compared The Great Fire of Nantwich with The Great Fire of London noting similarities and differences. They considered how Tudor houses and the way of life in the past might have increased the likelihood of fire spreading. The children considered how the Tudors cooked, kept warm and lit their homes. They also recognised that many things in Tudor homes were made from wood and were flammable. The children then learned about ways to put out fires that were used in the past.
