On Friday, the children became History Detectives. Each child opened a bag to discover an artefact from the Tudor Times. They thought about what it was made from and how it was used. After that they decided that many of the objects were used to create light, warmth or to heat food. Many of the items were made out of wood and wood can burn. They concluded that there were many fires around this time in history because the homes they lived in and the equipment they used were all made from flammable materials and in Tudor times fire was needed as a source of light and heat.
