Emerald class had a stunning day visiting Carding Mill Valley in Shropshire. They hiked up to admire the reservoir whilst they learned about the volcanic activity and ice age that had helped shape the landscape. The studied the speed of the river using a cork test and collected their data. Additionally, the children completed some art work in the valley where they got to make some close up sketches of plants and then made some landscape sketches. These will be developed into a final piece later in school!
