Art and design

Thomas Spooner visited Pearl Class. He was once a pupil at our school and he is now studying fashion and design at Central St Martins College of Art and Design in London. He talked to the children about following their dreams and experimenting with their own ideas. The children interacted with newspaper articles using pastels as a warm up and then explored their own images and ideas with different paints on large white tablecloths. Thomas would like to make use of the painted fabric and create garments to show the class their work in a different form. The children are very excited.
