Colour run and more

Year 5 have been very busy, as usual.

Here are Year 5 before and after the colour run! We got our ice creams this week and enjoyed them after our PE lesson. 

In maths, we have focused on rounding numbers up to 1,000,000. We used place value charts and numberlines to help us with our method. 

During science, we timed how long it took for different shapes of blue tack to fall in water. This showed us that more streamlined objects have less water resistance. 

In writing, we are reading 'Queen of the Falls' by Chris Van Allsburg. This week, we sorted some character statements into themes and wrote about them, in first person. 

Next week will be our 6th week of Year 5, this half term is wizzing by!
