Y6 – Richard Dowland

Today, Year 6 had the privilege of a visit from Mrs Gunstone (from our very own office) who spoke to them about her father, Richard Dowland's experiences of life as a POW in Burma during the Second World War. After regaling the class with tales of the harsh conditions and various diseases he contracted, Mrs Gunstone passed around various artefacts including his army medical record, his medals and "dog tag".
