Year 6 have been learning the scientific names for the bones in the human body. The class started out by writing down the everyday names for the bones before listening to a song detailing the more medical terms. We came up with different ways to help us remember each bone (e.g. 'Your cranium protects your brainium' and 'You can dribble from your mandible'...) and shared these with each other.
Finally, we played a game of skeletal Simon Says to see who could remember where each bone was located.
(The photos show phalanges (in fingers and toes), fibula (calf-bone) and clavicle (collarbone) respectively).
