Rama & Sita

Today, Ruby Class learned the Diwali story of Rama & Sita. 

This is the tale of a husband and wife who are torn away from each other by the evil ten-headed, twenty-armed Ravana (after he pretends to be an injured deer).

Fortunately, the monkey-god Hanuman helps Rama with his monkey-army to fight Ravana.

After Rama shoots Ravana with his golden arrow, he is able to retrieve his wife, and they are both guided home by the lamps lit by the people of their village.

Year 5 retold this story in class and acted it out through freeze frames on the school field.
