A busy week in Year 5!
Back home⁞A look into some of our lessons from this week
This week in Year 5 has been busy and fun!
During PE, we have been learning about gymnastics. Year 5 paired up and made a sequence of counter balances. Within reading, we're learning about 2 very inspiring women: Rosa Parks and Maya Angelo. The pupils had a session involving 'hot seating', where they embodied the women and were interviewed by the rest of the class! During art, we compared Elizabeth Catlett's art to Charlie Mackesy's and interpreted our own pictures in their style. In science, we explored Galileo Galilei and followed with an experiment involving DIY pendulums.
