School Parliament Mission Statement
The School Parliament is a very important part of Audlem School life, as we believe that pupil voice matters and that the children should have the opportunity to make decisions about their school. It consists of one representative of each class, from Year 1 to Year 6. The Parliament meets frequently, at least every other week, to express views and make decisions regarding issues concerning the pupils at school. The School Parliament is chaired by the Deputy Head Mr A Perry.
THE ELECTION PROCESS
The election process for School Parliament starts by each pupil in every class getting a chance to write a speech to present the next day. If they wish to run then they present their speeches to the whole class and the person with the most votes in each class will be elected. Elections happen at the beginning of the Autumn Term each year. Based on election speeches, the class votes for the candidate who they think will represent them best.
At the first Parliament Session we created the following mission Statement:
Our Aims:
September
One of our first decisions as School Parliament was to support the Nantwich Foodbank as part of our Harvest Celebrations this half term, by collecting donations for families who are reliant on this charity to help feed themselves and their loved ones.
