During Healthy Week, the children have been learning strategies that they can use to help them to relax, to calm down and to deal with worries.
Worry Bubbles was a favourite with all of the children.
The children in EYFS and KS1 learned that everyone has worries. The children realised that some worries were the same as, and some worries were different from, their friend's worries. The children imagined a worry as a bubble. They shared their worry, blew a bubble and as the bubble was released they imagined their worry floating away or they actively popped the bubble and the worry disappeared. Following this, the children took part in some relaxation exercises where they imagined their worries floating away.
Mr Worry showed that worries can grow until they feel too much to deal with. The children recorded their worries on a piece of paper and then tore the paper into pieces.
