Last Wednesday, Ruby Class travelled nearly two-thousand years back in time to visit the Roman city of Chester. During their time in 'Deva Victrix', the children explored what life was like in Roman Britain, including diet, medicine and hygiene, before using their archaeological skills to help detect, dig up and sort mixed-up artefacts into their correct era. Finally, Ruby Class were trained to defend against aggressive Celtic warriors, and viewed a live gladiatorial performance in a genuine Roman amphitheatre... A great day was had by all!
