Ruby Class Stem Week

Home » News » Ruby Class Stem Week

This week the children have been involved in many activities related to the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. On Monday, the children mapped out their taste-buds and had a go at sweet-making. The were also introduced to the eight planets of our solar system and wrote descriptive sentences about each of them.
On Wednesday, the children visited Newcastle College and had a wonderful time building and programming Lego before generating electricity from various fruits.
On Thursday, the "Magnetic Wizard" Matthew came in to teach the children all about Geometry through the magnificent resource of Magformers!
We are currently looking forward to seeing Mrs Marshall for an engineering workshop on Friday.
