Before half-term, the children in Emerald class worked on various Art pieces themed around their topic of Rivers. They created waterfall paintings using a sponge and fork technique and they also relaxed by using a scribble technique to create koi fish paintings. They sketched the outlines of the fish and lily-pads, then went over these in sharpie. After this stage, they scribbled over their drawings in pencil. Next, they mixed five shades of orange and filled in sections on each fish. They repeated this process for the green lily-pads and relaxing blue river-water. Everyone had fun and found the Art very calming.
