Year 6 learned how to build a Lego robot and then how to programme it using software on the computers. They had to programme it to travel forwards a certain distance then to turn a certain number of degrees. The task required good teamwork, patience and some maths and engineering skills. At the end, the children put their robots into an arena to compete against each other. The winner was the last robot standing. The children had a great time and learned lots of valuable computing, maths and engineering skills.
