School webteam: February 2020
Due to recent circumstances and events in Australia, the children at Audlem St James have shown an interest in raising money to donate to the cause. We were impressed with their thoughtfulness, so we supported their ideas.
On Friday 14th February, school held an 'Australia Day', where children were invited to bring a prop or wear clothing associated with the country. Thank you for the donations which will be sent to World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) in Australia.
Alongside this, we held bake sale after school in the hall. We greatly appreciated the help and contributions from all our families.
The children in Amethyst class really enjoyed Australia Day at school. They listened to the story of "The Koala Who Could," they acted out stories with the Australian animal puppets and even practised playing a didgeridoo.
The children in Pearl Class explored Aboriginal Artwork depicting Australian animals using coloured dots.
