Sapphire and Pearl class owe a BIG thank you to a local farmer who visited our school to talk about his farm, his daily schedule and his life as a farmer. He brought along two young calves and allowed the children to watch as he feed them from a bottle. The children were captivated!
The children learned lots about farming, life on the farm and especially about cows.
Did you know that cows cant see the colours red or green?
Did you know that cows stomachs have four chambers which help breakdown what they eat?
Did you know that cows are herbivores?
