Sickness
Parents are requested to inform school of the reason for their child's absence before 10.00am, either by telephone, personal contact or letter on the first day of absence. We would be grateful if you could let us know the nature of the illness and, where possible, the predicted length of absence. Please provide the school with a letter explaining the reason for the absence on your child's return.
Appointments
If you have to make a medical or dental appointment during school time please inform the class teacher in advance. In the interests of your child's safety we don't allow children to go out of school without written notice from a parent or carer.
Holiday during school term
The school attaches great importance to the maximum possible attendance, which is
in the best interests of your child. Please try to arrange your family holidays out of term time in order to cause as little disruption as possible to you child's education. Only in exceptional circumstances may they leave granted exceed more than ten days in total in any twelve months.
