School webteam: July 2015
Our special 'Sport, Health and Safety for Life Week' in school has provided a wonderful array of learning opportunities to all classes. The week began with a great turnout for our shared Active Audlem session with many parents, children and staff clocking up more laps on our circuit. We were visited by Adrian Derbyshire, who shared a thought provoking assembly on the themes of Inspire, Believe, Succeed and focused on Disability Awareness and some of his fantastic achievements (including gold and silver Olympic medals).
Our oldest children in school have had several Heartstart sessions learning about first aid hints and tips to keep themselves and others safe.
How wonderful it was to share our Sports Day together in the sunshine — it was great to see so many people from home cheering all of the children on and the children competing so well and so enthusiastically. Our week ended with all classes enjoying Olympic Style Non Contact Boxing sessions — school has been a buzz of excitement about these sessions
