Sapphire enjoyed their visit the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. They took part in a workshop called 'Inventors Wanted.' The children learned about two significant designers and inventors, who together created the world's first safety bicycle and about the different methods used in engineering to transfer motion--cogs, gears, sprockets and chains. They then toured the museum, they watched machine and engine demonstrations and then they explored and solved science problems in the interactive room 'Experiment.'
