Pearl Class explored the transport theme in the outdoor environment. They used tools to make a wooden boat with a sail and then tested to see if it would float. They recorded the footsteps taken around the school grounds using a collage of found materials and used chalks to draw a village road layout. They followed instructions to make a wind sock using our recycled materials e.g. plastic bottles, string, sticks and bags. The children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to explore and experiment independently as well as participating in guided activities aimed to develop skilful use of tools.
