Sapphire and Pearl Class enjoyed their visit to Fordhall Farm. Fordhall is a thriving working farm in Market Drayton which is run as a Community Land Initiative. The children learned about animals on the farm, land use and the history of the farm.
In the morning we toured the farm. The children saw the animals, fed the hens and the pigs and met the people who work on the farm. We visited Arthur's kitchen, the butchery and the bakery. After lunch, they took part in a practical activity creating natural sculptures in the woodland and learning about animal shelters. The weather remained fine and fun was had by all.
